Steps to make Mango Pickle:
  1. Firstly, wash and wipe dry the mangoes. Remove the skin and chop finely. To it, add turmeric powder and salt and set aside for few hours.
  2. Heat Oil. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle. Add methi seeds and asafoetida.
  3. Add chopped ginger and fry for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Then add chopped garlic and let it also fry for 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Add chopped green chillies and fry for sometime till the raw smell of ginger and garlic leaves.
  6. Add little turmeric powder, mustard powder, methi powder and salt and fry for sometime. Off the flame and let it cool.
  7. Add chilli powder to the mangoes.
  8. When the Oil is slightly lukewarm, add the mangoes and mix well. Pickle is ready.
