  1. Soak all the dal for 15 mins. And cook in a pressure cooker until 4 whistles.
  2. Cut onion and tomatoes into small pieces. Make ginger, garlic and green chilli paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick and cloves to it. Wait till the cumin seeds crackle. Then add ginger, garlic and green chillies paste to it. Then add chopped onions and tomatoes and half of the spices to it. Saute well. Cover the lid and cook for 10 mins under low flame.
  4. Now add the cooked daal into the pan. Add the rest of the spices to the dal. Add garam masala, lemon juice and mix well. Cover the lid and cook for 10 mins.
  5. Open the lid and add malai to it. This gives a creamy texture to the dal. Healthy and Tasty Panchratna dal is ready to serve.
