Instructions to make Green moong dal khichdi:
- Wash and soak rice and split moong dal in water for an hour.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil/ghee in pressure cooker, add hing and jeera, saute for few seconds.
- Add soaked moong dal and rice with 3 cups water and turmeric powder, mix well and pressure cook for 3 whistles on medium flame.
- Once the pressure gets released from the cooker, open the cooker lid add salt and mix the khichdi.
- Garnish with ghee and serve hot.
- Note: 1.You can add either dry red chilli pieces or garam masala. - 2.If the khichdi is too thick then add more water if it is watery then cook it little longer. - 3.Serve with more ghee for better taste.
