  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil/ghee in pressure cooker, add hing and jeera, saute for few seconds.
  3. Add soaked moong dal and rice with 3 cups water and turmeric powder, mix well and pressure cook for 3 whistles on medium flame.
  4. Once the pressure gets released from the cooker, open the cooker lid add salt and mix the khichdi.
  5. Garnish with ghee and serve hot.
  6. Note: 1.You can add either dry red chilli pieces or garam masala. - 2.If the khichdi is too thick then add more water if it is watery then cook it little longer. - 3.Serve with more ghee for better taste.
