Hey everyone, it is Louise, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a distinctive dish, heart idli. It is one of my favorites. For mine, I’m gonna make it a little bit unique. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can have heart idli using 6 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Heart Idli:
  1. Get 2 cups idli rice
  2. Get 1 cup urad daal
  3. Make ready Handful poha medium sized
  4. Get 1/2 tsp methidana (fenugreek seeds)
  5. Prepare as per taste Salt
  6. Make ready Pinch baking soda
Instructions to make Heart Idli:
  1. Mix rice, daal & methi dana and soak for 8hr Or overnight. But poha soak 15minuts before grinding.
  2. Now transfer all soaked ingredients to jar & grind and make a smooth batter.
  3. Now transfer this batter to a box & keep this box at a hot place for fermentation, like direct sunlight. (If weather is cold then place this box in the oven or in wheat aata box) minimum of 8 hours.
  4. Pour water in idli vessel and bring to boil.
  5. After that mix fermented batter and take batter in separate bowl, add salt and pinch of soda. Mix it.
  6. Grease ildi plates and with help of spoon pour batter in idli plate and steam for 15-17 minute.
  7. Remaining better store in fridge it can be used for dosa, appe etc.
  8. For emoji, cut into desire share and decorate. This is my son's favourite heart idli.
