I loved it the very first time when she made curry with it. I don't know any recipes with raw jackfruit. A natural, home garden veggie with no dangerous pesticides taste absolutely delicious as curry. It's uncommon to use jackfruit as a veggie in most part.

Steps to make Raw Jackfruit Curry:
  1. Chop the raw jackfruit into small pieces (Note: while you cut the jackfruit. don't use the skin and middle part of jackfruit)
  2. Then pressure cook the chopped jackfruit for two whistles.
  3. Then pressure cook the dal with half tsp of turmeric powder.
  4. While the dal is getting pressure cooked, heat a pan with half tsp of oil then add sliced onions. Let the onion turn slightly brown then add 3 tsp of grated coconut.
  5. Ground the above mixture in course paste. Keep it aside.
  6. Now take another pan, add 2 tsp of oil, garlic and saute for few seconds. Then add the cooked jackfruit, garam masala and chilli powder and saute for a minute. Then add dal to it and let the entire mixture cook for couple of mins with a small piece of tamarind (u can also use tamarind pulp instead).
  7. Then add the ground mixture and mix well. Let it cook for 5 mins. The raw jackfruit gravy is ready to serve. This goes very well with hot steamed rice.

If you can't lay your hands on jackfruit, then substitute it with any vegetable of your choice. The curry base will make it delightful! Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves. Serve piping hot jackfruit curry with chapatti, naan, parantha or rice. Raw tender jackfruit is used to make curry, pickles, stir fry etc.
